Description
They called it the Bad Luck Wedding Dress, and that spelled trouble for Jenny Fortune's dress shop. Just because a few of her customers had met with one mishap or another, Jenny's clientele stayed away in droves. Jenny bet she could turn her luck around--by wearing the gown herself at her very own wedding. There's one hitch--she has to find a groom.Tags

I struggle with whether I want to give this book 3 or 4 stars.
I liked the story and the premise of the story but I really wanted more. The book was funny at times and I even shed a few tears towards the end of the book but for the most part the book bored me to pieces. I wanted so much more out of the book but felt like it took me a LONG time to get there.
I think I would read more by this author and I think I have now that I know Emily March wrote this book under another name. I just felt that it started out so slow but ended with an umph! It was a pretty good book just not great in my eyes.

When the wedding dress Jenny Fortune makes for Big Jack Bailey's daughters gets tagged the Bad Luck Wedding Dress after 2 of the 3 girls have accidents befall them, she fights to save her reputation. In addition highly superstitious Big Jack is physically threatening her. Jenny's mother thinks she should get married in the dress herself to dispel rumors. Trace McBride has vowed never to marry again but his three daughters, nicknamed the Menaces, think Jenny would make a perfect mother. Throw in a few secrets from the past and you have a humorous romance with a bit of intrigue and danger. Predictable but fun.
This was a really cute western romance. Trace McBride's three young daughters, a/k/a The McBride Menaces, added humor and warmth to his bumpy courtship of Jenny Fortune. I found the storyline to be a bit predictable at times, but still very enjoyable. I like books with multiple plots and the author nicely resolves all of them.
This is the perfect book to curl up with on a rainy day! I'll definitely continue the series.

Jenny Fortune is determined to make it on her own but as luck would have it she rents a McBride property thereby providing a treasure to the McBride family. Good story had some comic moments with a good dose of romance. The girls had some of the best moments in the book. I would have given the story a 4-star review if it hadn't been for the brother storyline - too cliched. But otherwise a good story.
eally wanted to like this book as I have liked every other book that EM has written. Since I live close to Fort Worth, the setting was especially interesting to me; however, I was so glad that this book FINALLY ended. It just seemed to go on and on and on. To me, the characters were cardboard-like and I felt like I was reading 4 or 5 episodes in a sitcom.
The bedroom door is definitely open in this book which could have been handled differently.
I will be deleting this book and do not plan on reading another one in this series.
