It is a good book that teaches kids about bullying specifically how to deal with it. ( )

I found this book very easy to relate to as it reminded me of a bully from my past. Willow stands up to Kristabelle and shows her hos people want to be her friend....but not when you abuse the friendship and demand everything. It's something that is a mentor text with so many age groups.

Willow Finds a Way by Lana Button

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Willow Finds a Way by Lana Button is a children's story about how a little girl named Willow finds a way to handle an emotional bully named Kristabelle without hurting anyones feelings in the long run. The way Willow finds to handle the situation allows Kristabelle to realize the error of her ways and gives her a chance to do the right thing.
A cute tale with a strong moral lesson. ( )

This is a lovely book that deals with a situation that happens in every classroom. Willow's character is very believable in her mixed emotions over what her friend Kristabelle is doing. But she shows courage in the end. Thoroughly recommend this title. ( )

The story is resolved too easily but I like the protagonist's display empathy toward both the victims of the bully and the bully when she is shunned by her classmates. ( )
