The best Law of the Lycans yet. good story, complex plot, darker grittier storyline, satisfying HEA, variety of characters, not the normal pack themed book.
I loved Rafe, Eve and Caro - I wanted to like Damien more, but I think his aloof, loner personality was such that you could like him and respect him but not say "I loved his character" I think this was done on purpose by the author. Damien will take his blood bond with Beth to the grave - a very honorable character.
I enjoyed seeing some of our former characters again.
excellent job by the author, held my attention, supplied twists and turns, not all of the plot was exposed to soon, and multiple threads of story lines, each on their own could easily be expanded into another book.
The show more wait was a long one for this book but well worth it - Thank you Nicky Charles for another great book, and I'll be waiting for the next one too show less

I really enjoy this series. Charles has been a consistently good writer. The stories are all well plotted with great suspense and complex plot lines There is always more going on than the main romance and the story arc has followed through in all the books. This is a series I wouldn't mind paying for
This was probably my least favorite of the series so far. I do not know what part hit me and made me not like the book as much of the others but, something was off during the whole story. I thought this was the time for Damien and to see him happy again because watching him this way really breaks my heart. I liked Eve but in other ways felt that there was something that forced me to disconnect from her and Rafe well I do not even know how I feel about him. Betrayed was not my favorite of the story but although I am not in love I did not hate it either.
I loved Rafe and Eve in this book. But I felt like there was something that wasn't there.....

As always love this author. Nicky Charles is one of my go to authors lately. I just can't get enough of her work. Her books have a way of sucking you in to the story. This book is no different. I hope that I don't have to wait very long for the next book.

Well, this one proves my point about them being reorganized. On my shelf it is marked at the 2nd book in the series, but it's actually the 5th! If you go to the series page they are listed properly.
Man! I got to get the 6th and see if I still like these or not. And see if they are as long as GR says the page count it.

Nicky Charles is a writer and publisher who became an author by accident. In January 2009 Nicky wrote a fanfiction for an old TV series called "Scarecrow and Mrs. King. She became hooked on story telling soon thereafter. Over the next few months Nicky began to write her first romance entitled Forever in Time. Soon after, she wrote The Mating, and show more followed it with The Keeping, and The Finding. The three stories formed a loose paranormal trilogy called The Law of the Lycans. Nicky continues to expand the Lycan series with a long list of possible plots waiting in the wings. In 2017 her eighth book in the series, Deceit Can be Deadly, made the Smashwords Self-Published Best Seller List. (Bowker Author Biography) show less
