Listened to audio narrated well by Nicole Poole. I've said it before but it's worth saying again, she does an outstanding job bringing these characters to life all the way down to their wonderful accents. There were a few minor volume inconsistencies but otherwise a great audio experience.

There's a lot going on in this latest installment of the Mageri. Silver Merrick a crossbreed mage, is being blackmailed to not only leave Logan but to do it in such a way as to crush and destory Logan Cross. Christian is still trying to protect Silver

Justus De Gradi is becoming likeable in his possible budding romance with the take no crap Page the Relic.

Adam is trying to find his place, Knox is going to work for the Mageri. Chitah politics, and the show more ongoing search to find those experimenting with crossbreeding.

There are a lot of interesting characters and story arcs and lots of emotional scenes that will pull at your heartstrings. What continues to frustrate me about this series is that they are a team and yet they keep doing 'lone ranger' crap that ends up leading to terrible or avoidable outcomes. I truly hope future books will start showing more trust and loyalty when dealing with the problems and dangers they face. I also had trouble accepting that Silver is portrayed as being smart and strong and yet continually does too stupid to live actions and finds herself in damsel in distress situations only someone else can save her from. Please Dannika Dark, let Silver shine!

I wasn't quite sure where this book was going. The first quarter of it was very "relationshipy", but looking back it was a great development of the storyline. This is the only book so far in this series that I cried over..three seperate occasions. Absolutely loved the last scene between Silver & Justus!!!
Between 2.5&3-Started getting annoying. Not as focus. Too much rime spent on others stories and lead kept making stupid mistakes
