This is one of those times when I really wish Goodreads would allow half stars. It is a 3.5 star read rated up, because it was definitely more than just 3.

This is another one of those books that has been sitting on my shelf for a while, and I honestly don't know why I didn't read it before. C'mon...sexy cowboys! Add a adorable kid to the mix and well...

I would have liked to have this one more fleshed-out so to speak. More background on both of the MC's. There seemed to be a lot going on for what is relatively a short book. But then again nothing was left unresolved, nor where things just swept under the carpet, so I suppose I shouldn't complain lol. ( )

Poor Grady has had a rough time of it. LIke the build-up, though had a hard time with just how long he and Isaiah waited before trying to get together. ( )

A mostly ok, but not very interesting read. Both MCs remained pale and shallow though the author did her best to make Grady interesting as a reserved and introverted guy and Isaiah as the handsome, openly gay cowboy. It just didn't work for me. Some plot turns I found stupid and unnecessary (the beatings for Grady, his sister's call, the town's threat etc.). ( )
