The "hero's" behavior is reprehensible and repugnant for like, 3/5's of the book. And I don't think he ever actually apologizes for it (the "explanation" is an excuse, sorrynotsorry). I liked the last bit of the book, once they are at Piha, but the beginning was so upsetting that I can't really get past it. Also, the melodrama just kept ramping up.
This book was such a delightful surprise. I was in a mood for a plain good romance novel, and that's what I got. Great characterization. Sparks flying everywhere. [a:Susan Napier|14377|Susan Napier|http://www.goodreads.com/images/nophoto/nophoto-U-50x66.jpg] surprised me few times with plot twists, it was never boring.
I think Jane is one of my favorite romance novel heroines so far. And not just because she has a killer left hand. :)

There are already a bunch of good reviews for this one so I won't go into details. It was full of lots of fun craziness and boy did the hero ever do the revenge thing up right. But you can tell that he did figure out about halfway that he loved her and then he went sort of overboard trying to win her. Just a fun good read for vintage Harley fans.
