Five Little Penguins Slipping on the Ice

This is a cute twist on the popular story, 5 little monkeys. The strong repeating pattern is there about the penguins slipping and falling and then the doctor gets called and the same results, no more penguins skating on the ice. This was our book of the week for our class last week (2.5- 5-year-olds) They had so much fun with this book, they would stand up and pretend to skate and then fall, it was so funny.

This is a fun book that can be sung thru as well as read to a younger class. The penguins in this book are active and lively penguins who seem to be getting hurt in whatever they are doing. Their mama is always having to call the doctor up on the telephone. In the end the penguins are told to have some more fun!

5 little penguins are being silly and not too careful on the ice so one by one they have to go inside but eventually once they are all inside they decide to go back outside with their mom to have some fun
