Description

"Poor Akissi! The neighbourhood cats are trying to steal her fish, her little monkey Boubou almost ends up in a frying pan and she's nothing but a pest to her older brother Fofana. But Akissi is a true adventurer, full of silliness and mischief, and nothing will scare her for long! Published in English for the very first time, this best selling French comic follows the adventures of a naughty West African girl" -- from publisher's web site.

Shorter version of the tales of mischief - sort of a highlights of the book. Nice for younger readers that find the heft of the main book too intimidating.
children's graphic novel (translated from french). Adventures of a little girl living in west Africa (Ivory Coast). The series hasn't found a wide audience in the U.S. yet but the illustrations are cute enough (and there are enough gross-out situations to be of interest to some kids).
Z liked this a lot . . . he compared some of the strips to an African version of Calvin & Hobbes, especially the tapeworm one.
