I already knew Tim Conway is a very funny man. This book demonstrates that he's also very sweet and kind and down to earth. I didn't know he came from such humble beginnings. I'm glad all of the happy accidents in his life that led him to being a performer happened to him, and it's clear he is, too. The prose is a bit on the choppy and chatty side. But all that does is enhance the feeling that Tim is telling you everything in the first person (even though he had the help of a ghost-writer). Fans of Tim (or McHale's Navy, or The Carol Burnett Show) will enjoy this book. ( )

A delightfully goofy autobiography (written with Jane Scovell, because Conway is severely dyslexic) that makes it clear Conway is exactly what he appears, which is to say zany, unassuming, off-kilter, and darling. One of my favorite comic actors ever, Conway was responsible for the Dentist sketch with Harvey Korman on the Carol Burnett show, and just reading about it again made me helpless with laughter. A fast, light read. ( )

I LOVE Tim Conway and I loved his book! This is no overblown, play by play of his every moment on this earth, but rather a funny, retrospective that reflects an optimistic view on a wonderful life and career.
I especially enjoyed the reminisces of his time in front of the camera and his long friendships with Harvey Korman and Carol Burnett. It brought me right back to a time when comedy was actually funny, and the airwaves were filled with variety shows. Ah, those were the good old days!

Read this book, I guarantee you will laugh out loud! ( )
