This book was a great Pride & Prejudice Variation with lots of interesting characters and a very entertaining plot that grabbed my attention and made it difficult to put the book down. I also loved the epilogue at the end of the story. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Starts out a bit slow, and becomes more fun after the scene is set and action picks up about a quarter of the way into the story.
As another reviewer said, this is a popcorn-movie take on Austen fan-fic. Read accordingly :)
Having read a few other pride and prejudice variation/rewritings, I found this one slightly boring. The idea behind the story was an interesting concept, but this one missing something.
This book just isn't grabbing me - I think it is too much of a stretch to imagine Darcy as a pirate. Oh well.
After the Hunsford proposal Darcy is in decline to the extent that he is mistaken for an escaped pirate.
Mr. Bennet and Elizabeth are on the way to the Isles of Scilly to visit Mr. Bennet's ailing sister. Soon the pirate and Elizabeth meet.
Fun twist on Pride and Prejudice!
