Adorable and clever. Good reference tool for beginning writers. ( )

Using the tale of the three blind mice and the farmer's wife to teach literary terminology in a fun way is a stroke of genius! This book will make students look forward to learning about literary terms or just hearing or seeing the next story in the book. For a special treat, check out the section on mechanics, "Three Blind Lice." Plus, Joost Swarte's illustrations, while simple, add tons of entertainment value as well.

This is a clever little book which explores and explains different literary devices and terms. One will never be able to read a nursery rhyme and take it at face value again! Perfect for budding student writers. ( )
