An investigation of "The Parramatta River Murders", which shocked Sydney in 1872. Cotton (the nom de plume of journalist Stafford Silk) deserves credit for bringing this mystery to life but seems to write as if one is already au fait with the case. I was but many will not be.
He does come up with some interesting theories for the murders, including a possible connection to the Tichbourne Claimant but some of his theories seem very stretched.
As an aside, the author was present at the infamous New Years Eve party where the mysterious Bogle-Chandler deaths occurred.
