This YA book is part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s series “What Makes a …?” Books about other painters include Van Gogh, Monet, and Rembrandt. This is a nice book that explains some of his most famous paintings and subjects; ballet, horses, portraits of family members, and the hat shop. Written in an easily understandable way for the YA reader. ( )
