In this book for emergent readers the author brings us a multitude of gorgeous real life pictures of the sun and all the things it is essential for. This book makes use of enlarged pictures with enlarged though minimal text which makes it a perfect book for preschool and beginners. Even students who can not yet read would enjoy to simply flip through to look at the pictures. The last two pages are dedicated to more in-depth descriptions of the actions occurring in each picture so that an adult can read give the child some more information. ( )

This book will teach young children about the sun's job to light and warm the earth. This would be a great read for first grade students who are struggling to read.
