A detailed, informative, useful, and enjoyable work. Brandt covers the physics and the engineering as well as the details of construction, and does so in a lucid style that is a positive pleasure to read. Perhaps not everyone's favorite bedtime reading, but certainly you won't regret any time you spend learning about the construction of wheels from this book.
