"As an antidote to the complexities and challenges of modern life, award-winning author Philip Gulley offers the opportunity to participate in a world where the values of the Quaker way bring equity, peace, healing, and hope. The Quaker Way invites readers to encounter the defining commitments of the Religious Society of Friend, and shows how those ideals can be incorporated in personal and public life to bring renewal and eliminate the clutter that is keeping us from deeper spirituality. His audience is a new generation of seekers who may be disillusioned with religious institutions and strictures but yet are deeply interested in spiritual matters. A well-written and informative book. Gulley introduced me to a religion/way of life that was previously unfamiliar to me. Quakerism should be made known to anyone with any interest in religion, or any interest in a more just society. ( )

I'm glad to see this very approachable book. Philip Gulley is a popular author and a wonderful storyteller. His personal stories really enhance the experience of this book.

As Mr Gulley says there is great diversity in Quaker theology and thus it is very difficult to describe. I am a Quaker and I think that he has done a lovely job with this. I like the fact that he has queries throughout and a section of queries at the end of the book for people to ponder. This does give a real flavor of the Quaker experience.

I received this as a gift from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I will definitely be purchasing this book for my branch of the library.
