This book was included in a larger romance anthology featuring stories about rock stars. It was definitely an instalove between the band's bassist and a young woman sent to travel with the band and collect information for a book. She is a 25-year-old virgin and of course he is somewhat of a player but turns immediately into a "she's mine" territorial guy. I was into this as I was reading it even though I could predict pretty much everything that happened as it happened. There was more to the story than the physical relationship even though that was a big part of the book. There was more to the characters even though they move rapidly to love.

A romance book about metal musicians? I just had to read it. I have no regrets.

Of course there wasn't anything new in this book (especially the naive 'I'm not pretty' heroine). But I still liked all the characters, who were very different from each other and I was amused through the whole book; exactly what I wanted. I'm really interested in the stories of the other band members, too (especially Reagan with her men). The sex scenes... Very different from each other as well, very playful, very hot.

So, why didn't I give 5 stars? There were a few things, which bothered me. Of course Insta-love. Why, oh why? Then there was slut talk (mostly Toni about herself - and not in the kinky way). The obsession with her big breasts got on my nerve, show more too. Sorry. And a 'pussy' can do way more than just throb. Still I really enjoyed reading Toni and Logan's story.

If you want to feel like you're going on tour with a hot band... this is the book for you!

I was provided by NetGalley with an ARC in exchange for a honest review. Thank you.

I love Olivia Cunning's books and while this was not my favorite by her I still enjoyed it quite a bit. The one sour note for me was Toni's mom I just had a hard time finding her to be at all redeemable. I'm really looking forwards to Dare's book but until it comes out this was a good substitute read.
Insider is the first book in a new series named Exodus End by Olivia Cunning. The Sinners fans know already this band and probably are already half in love, if not completely, with some band member (see Dare). I don't think that it's going to be a problem if someone hasn't read the Sinners on Tour books. That might be a problem at Reagan's story, but I really doubt it. If you haven't read the sinner books I recommend them. In this book even Shade gets a cameo appearance.

To be honest, I didn't remember who Logan was and in the begging I forgot that this book was his story too. Toni wasn't helpful with all her drooling over the guys. They worked well together, despite the fact that Logan was saying for more than half book that they were show more just friends.

I was torned about whose story I wanted to read in the second book. I narrowed down to Steve because things got juicy with him and his past and a certain woman and Reagan because I wanted to read what was denied to me at Sinners at the altar. I will take a moment to booooo the books release date (2016) and then go back to normal me and remember that all authors have lives and families and they are not writing machines.

In the first half of the book I laughed more than I have laughed on most Mrs cunning books. I am sharing this with you even if it might not be proper for a review.

Toni wondered if she should include something like that in the book. She smiled as she imagined the caption beneath such a picture: Steve Aimes cops a feel while serving his fans. Or perhaps: Steve aims to bang more fans than drums.

And

“I’m a modern-day vampire. The kind that sparkles in the sun instead of bursting into flames.”She laughed. “You’ve seen Twilight?”He arched a brow at her. “Do I look like the kind of guy who would watch that girly shit?”She bit her lip, not sure if she’d insulted him. “Yeah, I’ve seen it,”he said. “Twice.”

The kickoff to the "Exodus End World Tour" series which runs alongside the "Sinners On Tour" series. I would read the "Sinners" series first. Delving into each of the band's members, this is Logan's story. The bass player is a player and is knocked sideways by the new journalist who has all access and is writing a book about the band and staying on the tour bus with them. Toni is a naive sheltered journalist who is creating an interactive book about the band and this is her first big assignment to prove her worthiness to her mother. Riding on the tour bus is up close and personal as she pursues her story and Logan can't seem to function around her and is puzzled because she is everything opposite of what he desires and is used to. Toni show more is determined to get her stories and perhaps lose her "V" card with Logan. The story revolves around Logan & Toni and their relationship. Along the way there is turmoil, humor, betrayal, & quite possibly love. Logan might be in over his head and Toni might have her heart broken. The side stories flow nicely with "Sinners" band members too. Dare (Exodus)/Trey (Sinners) are brothers, Reagan (Exodus)/Trey & Ethan (Sinners), & Toni meets some of the Sinners wives (Myrna & Jessica) Looking forward to the next in series show less

The Characters:

Antonia “Toni” Nichols: I like that Toni stayed herself throughout the book. She doesn’t go from geek girl to glamour girl like so many stories do.
Logan Schmidt: A little immature but likable.

The Story:

I liked Toni and Logan’s journey. There was some insta-love in the beginning however once you get passed that it’s a really good love story.

The Random Thoughts:

Exodus End
Dare Mills - Lead Guitarist
Steve Amines - Drummer
Maximilian Richardson - Lead Singer
Regan Elliot - Rhythm guitarist (temp*)

100th book of the year!!!

3.5 stars
Insider is about an introverted young woman stepping out of her comfort zone for once to interview Exodus End for her job. She never expects to find the band so welcoming. Logan, the other main character, never pictured himself as the type to fall for a girl. A relationship doesn't really fit into his free and adventurous lifestyle. Toni's sincerity soon wins everyone over.

Despite Toni's inexperience, I liked the fact that this book didn't drag out them getting to know each other. Much of the story is information. Toni is learning as she goes about the band members, what all is involved in a tour and why sex is such a big deal so the reader takes lessons with her.

There is a huge betrayal from someone in the storyline. Even show more though the book is over, I'm still not over that. The quickness with which it was handled did not satisfy me.

I liked Toni and Logan. They're both genuinely good people. The best part of the novel to me is all of the band members interacting. Also Exodus End is often with other bands so it's great getting pieces of everyone. Fans of the author's other books which include some of these characters are sure to love it. Each band mate is unique in attitude, history and actions. Ground work is laid for all of their individual novels, and I can't wait to read them.
