It's no secret that I love Demi Lovato (don't mind my bias) but this just made me love her even more. While this is supposed to be a page-a-day kind of book, I ended up just reading it all at once. Demi combines quotes from celebrities, movies, songs with quotes of her own and then her own analysis and commentary on how that quote relates to her life and the reader's life. What I loved about this was that at the end of each day's entry, there was a daily goal. This is the perfect book for people wanting to start fresh and get a clean slate, I consider this book a bunch of small New Years Resolutions, one that you can do each day. I'd suggest this to anyone who may be going through a difficult time, but mostly geared towards the younger crowd. ( )

Keep it in perspective: Demi Lovato is young enough to be my daughter, maybe even my granddaughter under the right circumstances. I had to remember that when I read her daily devotional.

Imagine you're a teenager. You're struggling through life to figure out who you are, what you want, what's out there in the world. A pop star in her 20s, worldly and successful, has a book that compiles her tweets of wisdom. There's a pretty good chance you're going to look up to that pop star for inspiration and wisdom, especially if you ever struggled with an eating disorder, drugs, and/or bipolar disorder. If that's your struggle, Demi Lovato is going to seem like a source of great wisdom to you. She's "got it all" in the world's parlance. She's been through plenty, and she's still so young.

I'd say for those reasons, this is a pretty good little daily devotional. She sources Einstein; American icons of the stage, business, politics, and entertainment; the Bible, the Buddha, etc etc. It's a good place to begin if you're a searcher and it's a good source of encouragement.

Definitely for the YA crowd as someone to look up to in the world. ( )

I have always been a big fan of Demi Lovato's. I have known her struggles she has dealt with over the years. Reading this book has made me an even bigger fan of hers, and I have learned more and more about her in just a few words. This book is filled with motivational and helpful quotes to help you if you're struggling with anything in your life. She also shares helpful advise as to what to do in a situation, wheather it be bullying, or something you're struggling with personally. I love this book because of Demi's honesty about her struggles and because there are so many quotes from other famous people, as well as Demi, to help you.

This book is an inspirational "page-a-day" type read. Each day there is a new inspirational quote, small story or anecdote, and a daily challenge. I didn't realize reading 365 days worth of inspiration could be so boring. Some of the quotes were nice. I didn't really care about or connect to any of the little stories. And I suppose the little daily challenges would have been fun had I done them/read this book over the course of a year. Fans of Demi Lovato would probably love this book since most of the stories are from her life experiences and her own issues with self-esteem. Overall, I was uninspired. ( )
