Back in the 60's, the Lennon Sisters were singing stars on the Lawrence Welk Show. To capitalize on their popularity, books starring Janet were written for the children's market. These were similar to Nancy Drew mysteries. In this one, Janet is a counselor at a girls' summer camp. From the synopsis in the book "...what appears to be an ordinary, quiet mountain camp becomes the setting for a terrifying mystery, and a decision which could cost Janet her life." I hope some girl now would enjoy the book even though they have no idea who the Lennon Sisters or Lawrence Welk are.
Basic Summary: Fictionalized Janet Lennon (of the Lennon Sisters and Lawrence Welk fame) has nothing to do this summer. She is fourteen, and her sisters are all busy or married. Suddenly she gets the opportunity to be a counselor at a summer camp. They need her there immediately! Pretty soon she is involved in all activities and drama the camp provides and a mystery too.
