Haunted Echoes

I think that if I was faced with Elise Villecourt and her "Can't tell you that, it's a sworn secret" I too would have been as peeved as Ana Reisner, the main character in this second installment in the Madonna Key series.

Ana is an Interpol agent, more used to research than chasing the bad guys, she finds herself in the middle of a vast conspiracy. A plan to use ley lines to bring down governments, a handsome scotsman (Robert Fraser) who may or may not have given up his thievery, a missing object and a ghost all combine to make this quite a good read. There are occasions where it seems to drag a little but it's few and far between.

This series is one that needs reading in order, I accidentally read book 3 before getting around to book 2 show more and there are things that happened that make more sense only now. show less
