I like this book especially for a younger audience. Throughout the story it is able to catch the audience of younger children but at the same time it is able to teach them to count. At every stop he picks up a certain amount of animals and at every stop he drops off a certain amount of animals. They also get dropped off to do things animals would not normally do such as, take the train, fly in an airplane, or ride in a boat, which helps capture the attention of young children. ( )

I would recommend this picture book as a great beginner book for young children. The pages are filled with colorful photos of a bus and it's driver along with ten different cat and dog passengers. They have many different travels throughout the day. At the end of the story, the bus driver and his dog head home together. The author Byron Barton has created a collection of many picture book for young children that makes reading fun! ( )

This is an adorable book perfect for young kids who like cats, doggies, and forms of transportation. My nephews both love trains, buses, cars, and airplanes (not to mention cats and doggies), so they are sure to enjoy this book as much as I do! There are lots of colors and numbers, too, so my nephews can work on their color and counting skills while we read. ( )

Cute and really simple for the entertainment of young children (infants and toddlers). Older children can use it to look for or establish patterns as well. ( )

Again, I love Barton's creative style. To me, all of his books seem to run together in a way. The colors, shapes, and lines all seem to be similar in each of the books. Joe is a bus driver who picks up animals and brings them where they need to go. He is the animals' transportation. ( )
