Sheikh Chilli is known for his cunning, innocent, and foolish personality who indulge himself into the world of non- existence. Simply, a profound daydreamer, loved to build castles in the sky. Sheikh Chilli, one of my favourite and everyone's admiration I guess, made our childhood awesome by his wit and satirical act in a very extraordinary way. Anupa Lal deserves an applaud for providing us with such a comical narrative.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This witty collection carries 20 short stories regarding his childhood to adulthood. 'A Tumbler of Oil' shares a wit of #Sheikhchilli who turned whole of the tumbler upside down to gather more oil below the tumbler, leading to oil spill 😂. 'The Kazi 1', shares his adulthood, working under Notorious Kazi Sahib, where he carried all his stupid act in order to teach Kazi a lesson for not giving his earning, eventually, succeeds. Overall this book will give u a good laugh at some point with a deep lesson to learn on the other. Also, why Sheikh chilli was so loved and adored by the generations of India will only be realized by dwelling into this collection. Some accounts depict that Sheikh Chilli was actually a real person who became fakir in later days and his grave can still be seen in #Kurukshetra, #Haryana. But the matter has not been considered substantial yet.
5/5 will be my rate. Must read. . ( )
