Her Dragon’s Fire is book two in the Dragon Guards series by [a:Julia Mills|7200721|Julia Mills|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1382034837p2/7200721.jpg]. This was an improvement from book one. We get enough information and background that this book can stand on its own, more action, adventures and hot steamy sex.
Grace, is an attorney, also Kyndel’s best friend, plus she has an interesting ability. I like strong women and Grace is that. I liked her from the start and how independent, strong, and cahraguess she is.
Aiden, one of our sexy Dragon Guard shifters has been holding onto guilt for over 6-years about his brothers death, only to learn that he is not dead, but out to kill everyone for some show more twisted vengeance. The author does a great job with his guilt and having him come to terms with everything. I also loved the description of his whiskey colored eyes.
Her Dragon’s Fire pulled me deeper into the world of the Dragon Guards and that there is one perfect match for each dragon. The author gave us more information about the dragon’s, more action, our plot thickens, and we learn how messed up Andrew truly is. Grace and Aidan where a good couple, complemented each other, and when these two got together the sex was steamy. The other characters in this book are each unique and I’m interested in reading their stories. I like reading about them and how they have this family feeling even though they are not blood related, they act so much like a family.
I’m glad that author didn’t have the long winded monologues, “the Universe had made her, just for him”, “the Universe did not make mistakes” or that they are “1000lb dragons” that really got to me in Her Dragon to Slay, but subtly implied about the universe stuff.
Her Dragon’s Fire was a great read, that has some very sexy dragon shifters. We got more action, adventure and deeper into the dragon world. I can’t wait to read about Lance and the women meant for him. If you are a dragon, lover I would recommend giving this series a try.

Things really start to get rolling in book 2, we find out more about Aidans crazy brother and the lengths he is willing to go to for revenge. While Aidan tries to be close to Grace without her knowing as he still feels the guilt for being out looking for her which caused his brother to be captured. Unfortunately both he and Grace are able to use Kyndels home while she is back living with Rayne and that means they will end up being there at the same time and Aidan will finally have to talk to her instead of just keep watch over her from afar. Grace is a lawyer with the state prosecutor so by default is strong and independent but everyone has their breaking point and its up to Aidan to be there for her when she needs him and stand by her show more while she sees things through.
Good luck putting this down once you start it or not wanting to read book 3 straight after this.
