A young commoner is told by his father that he will marry the Khan's daughter. When he arrives at the tent of the Khan he is set on three quests to prove his worthiness. He finally does by showing the daughter that he will not get himself killed at the first opportunity.

Classroom connections: This story could be used to discuss folktales from around the world. The idea of the stories having a moral or teaching purpose, as well as the different types of stories from around the world.
