Description
TAKE - verb: to reach for and hold in one's hands or get into one's possession, power or control. Logan Mitchell is a man who's always been more than happy to take what he wants. It's a philosophy that's proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try--he's hooked. Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more show more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep. He has a choice to make, and it'll force him to do something he's never done before--take a chance. Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan's apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man. Ever since then, he's thought about little else. At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body's curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning. He's starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it's one full of excitement and satisfaction--a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife. Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they've found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it? show lessTags

"'You make me crazy and furious, and out of my mind with need, but in the end, you make me so fucking happy. I can't ever remember feeling this way. And no one is going to tell me it's wrong. No one.'"
This just reminded me of how much I loved the first one. I was wondering if I had loved Try so much just because it was the first m/m book I ever read...but nope! I loved it 'cause it was a fucking good, sexy as hell, heart-pumping, emotion grabbing book. And "Take" just took all that to the next level.
"He'd dreamt about this moment. The moment he'd be making love with someone. As Tate stared up at him, Logan knew that was this moment. He moved over him, positioned his cock, and slid home."
This is definitely an erotic series, of that there show more is no doubt, but the sex was so good, different each time, and showed how their feelings were deepening, so that I did not get bored with it. And I was even getting chills from some scenes, which so rarely happens to me. *happy sigh* The story itself was strong and emotionally evocative throughout. I was hurting and beaming and loving and excited right along with Tate and Logan. And I had a case of the butterflies there at the end. I knew that's where the series was headed (there were tons of hints dropped), and I simply cannot wait to read the next (and, sadly, probably final?) book. I mean, I want to read it right now. I don't want to go to the beach, or out on the rest of my vacation anymore, I just want to stay up all night reading the next book. *wistful sigh*
"'I want to know where you are when you aren't with me, and I'll wish I'm there.'"
Logan grew up and peeled away his layers in this book, and it was a wonderful transition to watch as he revealed the scared, vulnerable, human side he had hidden away. And Tate had major, heart breaking issues to face, as well. Watching them advance together, support one another, and step up to the plate together was a treat.
Reading over my highlights, I'm struck by all the lines in here that are so gorgeous, full of emotion, and that are truly life-altering for these two men. They had some serious issues to work through, but they also broke down so many walls, became so darn sweet and happy, and decided to take what they wanted. I loved every second. Highly recommended.
Note: One reason I love Ella Frank is her command of language. (Or great editors? I dunno, either way, it works.) I only noticed a few grammatical errors--which always stick out to my eyes and end up being distracting for me. So brava Ms. Frank, and thank you :) show less

What to say about this wonderful book without giving a lot away? I'll just say that this story was an emotional experience that reaffirms family bonds as well as being bound to your heart's desire. Those are things you can never get away from while learning to face the one's you love in order to get back the strength you have lost. Tate and Logan will take you through these journey's...but you may need plenty of tissues. Also, you will get more out of this book if you read book #1 before this one. Overall, this is a beautiful and raw story, as is the one before it. If you are a reader of M/M Romances, just know that the characters and their journey through love and acceptance is an adventure you won't want to miss. show less

First Impressions
This is the second book for our couple and this is where we see their relationship continue. We still get all the heart and swoons in their relationship that you can expect from this author but we also see the way in show more which their newfound relationship is tested and how they come together when it matters to face it....
First Line
When Logan woke in a bedroom other than his own, it was usually for one of two reasons.
The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Logan
The Hero (2): Tate
Summary
Tate and Logan have declared the depth of their feelings but their journey isn't over but its truly just beginning. In this installment, we see that they will have to face Tate's family and his ex through the reveal of him coming out as gay. Their relationship will be tested when they confront his family, and Tate will have to come to the truth of who he is becoming and will have to make a choice ....his family and the woman who betrayed him or the one man that he can be truly happy with...
What I Loved
I loved the conflict with the family and seeing how that strengthens the relationship between Tate and Logan. There is some delicious drama that happens and honestly I loved it. Seeing how they have to face up to some painful truths was so powerful. My heart broke for Tate in how his family treated him. I really felt for how his family used their religion as crutch in how poorly they treat him. And I am new to this series, but my guess is that they have always treated him not so well. The truth of it is coming out. How they accepted his ex but evicted him from the family was so painful to watch in times. But seeing him come to the truth of his family and fighting for what truly matters melted my heart. And then we see the strain it puts on Logan and seeing how Tate has to truly fight for the man he loves. I also loved seeing more of Logan's family and his familial ties and what its able to do for Tate. And I can't wait to read their books!!!

I loved Try. It was my first M/M read and opened me up to a whole amazing world of books. It will always be special to me. As much as I loved Try, I just gotta say Take blows it away. Take fulfilled all that I wanted it to be. Right from the start it had me.
The story starts off beautifully, picking up right where book one left-off. The waters have calmed for a bit, and the two gorgeous men are having some fun together. The boys have somewhat of a role reversal. We witness a more vulnerable side of Logan and a more dominate side of Tate which leads to lots of sexy and sweet moments. Ummm, bossy Tate.
Logan and Tate go to their first couples' game night. If you've read Ella's Exquisite series you will recognize Mason & Lena, Cole & Rachel and Josh & Shelly. Cole you would remember from Try as Logan's brother. I'm a big #ColeWhore and pretty partial to #DeliciousDaniels so it's great seeing these characters pop up again. The best is Shelly and Logan meeting for the first time. Shelly and Logan both have zero filter so the conversation stays interesting.
Then L&T go for a family dinner at Tate's family's house. Logan and Diana have a confrontation. In my mind, during this scene, I heard that movie line "Ahh, kitty likes to scratch." Catty Logan is lovely.
After that gathering, things got emotional for me. I was sad about some things and mad about others. I'm not going to tell why. Just know that this book isn't just about the fun chase that was book one. This is the serious nitty gritty make a relationship work or don't book two.
Of course one scene that must be mentioned is the shower scene. But really there are so many scenes that stand out: the car, the picnic, the wall. This book really is the best mix of sexy and sweet. I loved every word. I can't wait for the next installment.
I could never write a good enough review to do it justice. Just know that I loved it, and it's one of my top reads for the year.

Logan's jaw was nice and loose when it came toshow more
pleasuring Tate.
Almost as if he couldn't help it, Logan's fingers automatically found their way into his curls whenever he sat down beside the guy, and Tate fucking loved it.

He slipped his palm into Tate's and moved in closer to whisper, "In case I get busy in there and don't say it, thank you."
"For?" Tate asked as his eyes softened.
Logan squeezed his fingers, and as they started walking inside, he answered, "Always being willing to try."

So you are here now. Are you reading the review because you want to know how I feel about the serial? Okay, easy I LOVED THESE BOOKS. Are you here because you read all three and curious how I feel about book two? Well, read on.
"Wait...love?"
Oh, boy is Logan in for it now. Watch as the biggest playboy falls in a huge way. This was such an emotional middle of their story, as it should be. Nothing is ever easy in a relationship. Tate has huge obstacles to overcome. And Logan does too. How do you do a relationship and do both parties well.
This serial was a first time read from this author from me. Boy, did Ms Frank ever deliver hitting all the high points on what I love in a same sex romance. This middle got me in the feels. But these show more boys, I wanted to help them overcome all the storm of unnecessary stuff in having to deal with the complete and utter narrow-minded. If you read book 1, you definitely want to continue Logan and Tate's story. 5 out of 5 stars.

**My Quick Two-Cents Rant**
I know some may feel a certain way about the m/m genre and that it might not be for them. Cool. Other m/m genre lovers may not like this story because they feel they have read better representations, and to each their own! My only hope is if you're feeling iffy then check out this series for yourself and dislike it because you've decided it based on your own feelings, not because someone else disliked it for you. Just sayin...
Moving on...
This was me before and after I read this!
"In case I get busy in there and don't say it, thank show more you."
"For?" Tate asked as his eyes softened. Logan squeezed his fingers and as they started walking inside, he answered.
"Always being willing to try."
LOVE A MILLION TIMES OVER!!
Book one was about "Try"ing. Tate opened his mind to something new while Logan opened his heart to something he vowed to never would.
Book two is about having the courage to "Take" what you want no matter what other's might say. Tate and Logan are in uncharted relationship territory. They've made the decision that no matter what lies ahead, they'll move forward together but it's proving to be a lot harder then they thought. While the unexpected consequences of their decision are devastating to them both I love how both ultimately choose to go with their hearts.
I will remain a loyal fan of the Temptation series! I love the Alpha male appeal of Tate and Logan and the way Ella Frank writes about them. She can do no wrong! Aside from the fact that this series is highly flammable, I like the way these characters are built, there is a lot of depth. They feel very real. If I had to pick two fictional male characters I wanted to see be happy together, it's Tate and Logan! Love my boys!
Will I drop everything when Book 3 is released?
You know it!
