Description

"When a mysterious being from Wonderland begins to infect Ever After High with a strange magic, everything goes topsy-turvy. Lizzie Hearts, Wonderland's future queen; Cedar Wood, daughter of Pinocchio; and Madeline Hatter, heir to the Mad Hatter's Haberdashery & Tea Shoppe, seem to be the only ones who haven't completely lost their heads. They say you should never judge a book by its cover. Even if there are plastic dolls on the cover that you want nothing to do with.

This book, like the others in the series by Shannon Hale, is so much fun. It's a slight step down from the previous two books though, and it took me a little while to warm up to the new characters (but I ended up enjoying them just as much as I did Raven and Apple). I especially liked the part where Maddie took over as Narrator—it reminded me of Luna Lovegood's Quidditch commentary.

Shannon Hale obviously had fun writing this book—you should have fun with it, too.
Interesting - focus on a different set of characters, the Wonderland refugees. Mostly Lizzie, the Princess of Hearts, and a bit Kitty Cheshire and (more) Maddie Hatter. We see Raven and Apple, but they're not major characters - indeed, they spend a large part of the story transformed into their namesakes (a raven and an apple). The escaped Jabberwock starts messing with Ever After - it tries to make things more like Wonderland, but its methods and results are both rather twisted. Oh, another major character is Cedar Wood; though she's not a Wonderlander, the effect of the Jabberwock's magic on her is rather different and leaves her being very useful throughout. And Daring Charming begins (only begins, mind you) to display something show more other than arrogance and competence - he's actually got a sense of humor. The moral(s) of the story are only slightly less heavy-handed than the Headmaster's play, but the story itself is interesting and pleasant to read. Looking forward to the next one. show less
Lizzie Hearts, daughter of the Queen of Hearts, from Wonderland, has always wished that Wonderland would come back to her, ( as she was forced to leave it) and she seems to have gotten her wish. But on a field trip her friend Cedar Wood is attacked by a strange Wonderlandian. She figures out that the great Jabberwocky is causing the Wonderland Magic to change into NOT so wonderful.

Can Lizzie, using the special Vorpal Sword, to save her world from destruction?

I liked this book because of the stunning details like " snake-like neck and toothy head with milky white blind eyes" and humorous story telling. I would highly recommend this book to everybody who enjoys fairytales and comedy and adventures.
This was another delightful Chapter in the Ever After High Series by Shannon Hale. I am sad that she will not be continuing and that someone else will be taking over.

This book does not go with the two main characters from the first two books, Raven Queen and Apple White. This book follows Cedar Wood, Lizzie Hearts, Madeline Hatter, and Kitty Cheshire. The Wonderland Characters are trying to beat the Jabberwocky that escaped a Uni-Cairn prison at the end of the second book. The creature is trying to change Ever After into Wonderland the home that it desperately misses. The girls are looking for a way to defeat the Jabberwocky before the book ends or all of their stories will end as well. This was a fun read to put between my other books.
A cute continuation of the series. I really liked the change of MCs.
