Loved this book it started out a little slow but soon caught my heart. It from a little girls point of view of a devastating flood and the aftermath of picking up life little piece.
A set of poems that tells the story of a young girl and her family surviving a flood. A moving story that teaches children about some realities of life.
This book takes you through the life of a family who has to evacuate their home because of a flood. It talks about the struggles they go through and how they deal with it. Is a great book for after a tragedy.

Jane Kurtz moved with her family to Ethiopia when she was two years old and spent most of her childhood there. Drawing on vivid memories and extensive research, she has written both fiction and nonfiction books set in Ethiopia. Many of her books have won awards -- including her first middle-grade novel, The Storyteller's Beads, and her most recent show more picture book, River Friendly, River Wild.
