I always worry that when I read a book told from the other person’s point of view that I will get bored with it. That is not the case with Rush Too Far. If anything, I may like it more than Fallen Too Far.
I love being in Rush’s head. He definitely has the save the world gene. He has a big heart even though he tries not to show it. He doesn’t want Blaire to be into him, and he definitely doesn’t want her in his thoughts all the damn time. I liked watching the inner struggle, and what he was really thinking when Blaire was around him.
I didn’t mention Nan in my other reviews because I don’t like her. After reading Rush’s pov, I can’t stand her. She’s had a semi-tough life not having a father, but good freaking grief. Put show more some big girl panties on, and deal with it. She drives me mad, I tell you!
The ending is still emotional. I thought I was torn apart when I read Fallen Too Far, but reading how it felt for Rush broke my heart completely. I bawled like a damn baby. There are also extra scenes that weren’t in Fallen Too Far, and I freaking loved them.
I love everything about this book and series. I can’t get enough of this group of friends. show less

Hot hot hot…. Before this book even began we all swooned so hard for Rush Finlay! And this book did NOT disappoint! the only feelings I have for this book is LOVED IT! And you got some of why he was the way he was in the other books, but to feel it all through rush was fabulous! The love he felt for Blaire but the devotion and protectiveness he had for nan, and easy decision for the outside world, but not for him. the one person he had and would do anything to make happy and now he had to disappoint her. don’t get me wrong I am a #NANhater and I think she gets what she dishes out but the internal struggle was so very Real for him. He had to choose to put himself in front of Nan and that wasn’t something that he had ever done. All show more in all this is a great book, I’m so glad Abbi gave us a book from Rush’s pov, I would love to hear their entire story from his side. (Hint Hint)

Abbi really took an alternate POV and made it work. Sometimes it feels like an author just changes a scene or two and tells the exact same story. I really felt like Rush Too Far was full of new information and I really feel like I better understand Rush. These characters are some of my favorite and I was really happy with the way this story was told! I still hate Nan and I don't see that changing!!!
3.5 stars. God, I freaking HATE Nan! And I actually didn't like Rush as much in this one because he really needs to let this whole guilt thing go. He keeps telling Nan that she needs to let her hatred of Blaire go because it's not her fault, and he really needs to listen to his own advice because even though he may have raised Nan, it's not his fault they have a crappy mother, or that his father cared about him while Nan's didn't. She needs to grow up and get over herself, and she's an adult, so he needs to stop catering to her and letting her throw tantrums and get her way. Let her take care of herself for once.

Rush Finlay is not your average manwhore. He's influential, rich and the son of rock band Demon Slacker's lead singer. Rush is back in Rosemary Beach, FL in order to enjoy another uneventful summer. However, his plans take a very different turn when Alabama girl Blaire Wynn shows up unannounced at the doorstep of his beach side home
Blaire is supposed to be his number 1 enemy since because of her, Rush's half-sister Nan never had a father. Yet, he finds out Blaire is nothing like he though she would be, and falls head over heels for her and her kindness. Still, it is difficult to break her walls and even more, knowing that he is keeping one important secret from her.
Rush Too Far is Rush's all-male POV of Fallen Too Far. I wasn't quite show more sure if it would be just the first book of the series or the whole series packed into one but it turns out that it is only Fallen Too Far, so Book #1.
It was nice and a great reminder of how awesome this Abbi Glines series is, but as I said, it was nice and not as overwhelmingly awesome as reading Fallen Too Far the first time. Obviously, I need all the secrets and the story, so this simple re-read took the suspense away.
We all love Rush and he's the perfect book boyfriend - and it was interesting to relive some scenes (especially the steamy ones) through Rush's eyes. But then again, unfortunately it was not a "revelation".
Although it did make me want to re-read the rest of the series, which I did in one afternoon. Yet, the sequels didn't loose their charm at all, even though I knew what was going to happen :) show less
