Lots of information revealed by the end of this book. From the beginning the team has believed they were betrayed by one person. Derek DiMarzio and Charley Rixey have been trying to decode information they found in a teddy bear sent to Becca from her father who was the teams Commander. Throughout this entire book a program is running to unencrypt that information that at the end brings a shocking revelation. During this time the team is following up on another lead by trying to track down someone working with the Church organization which leads them to his sister. Derek at first thinks she has to know what her brother is doing but it isn’t long before he realizes she is just an innocent bystander and he finds himself falling for her. Emilie grew up in a large family and her brother was one of her best friends. He was always there for her but since he returned from his 4 tours in Afghanistan she doesn’t know this man he has become and fears if she doesn’t get him help he is eventually going to kill someone.

This is a series that must be read in order as each book just picks up days after the previous. This is the first book in the series where we finally get some answers as to who the bad guys really are and what might have happened all those years ago on that fateful mission that killed 6 of their fellow soldiers and left both mental and physical scars on the 5 remaining members. Along with getting Derek and Emilie’s love story we also got a glimpse into Charley and Jeremy’s relationship and a little more insight into Beckett. Both of their stories are next in the series which I look forward to reading.

Wow! This was my favourite book in the series so far. I loved Marz from the first time he appeared. He's a wonderfully sensitive man that can totally kick ass! Emilie is smart, loyal and loves her family, even her brother although he was not always a good guy.

This is a series you want to read from the start in order to understand the complexity of the stories. Would recommend you read this series. I love this author ( )

Read It/Rate It Thoughts: Hard to Come was such a good entry in this hard hitting, on the edge series by Laura Kaye. I specifically liked what Emilie brought to the group. Her love story with Derek was spot-on and really perfect for them!

This is book #3 in the Hard Ink Series, yet less than a week as gone by. This series is packed with everything happening quickly. A big clue is unlocked at the end of this book; how will I ever wait till #4.

Emilie and Derek have as quick and loving a courtship as all the others of the Unit have had with every bit as much danger! ( )
