So flippin' adorable I just can't even. The art alone would be worth buying the book for, but the writing is wonderful, too.

We get lessons on friendship:

Otter, to shark: Let's go collect seashells!

Shark: Okay, but if we run into any of my friends, pretend like I was just about to eat you.

Otter: Yeah, no problem.

Glimpses of what parenthood is like:

Baby dinosaur: Want me to tell you a ghost story? So, um, there's this ghost, and his name is Steve. No, wait, it's Mr. Vampire. And he was gonna go to school, but he had a tummy ache, so he went home. Then there was this other ghost, his name was Superman. No, wait, it was...

Dad dinosaur: Why don't I tell you a ghost story instead.

Baby: Okay.

And a look at a busy but happy marriage:

Note from show more anteater to anteater spouse: I'll be home late. Dinner is on the table. xo

(Anteater glances over at table to see: an ant farm.)

All of the comics are cute, some are "aw"-inducingly adorable, a few are laugh-out-loud funny. I'm making a new shelf in honor of Little World: "good gift idea." This is a book that would make pretty much anyone happy -- except maybe your great-grandmother, who might scowl at you because you gave her a book where the last cartoon shows Charlotte the spider calling Wilbur a bad word. ("When I was a little girl, Charlotte wrote nice things in her web, like 'Some pig'! E.B. White must be spinning in his grave!" "Sorry, Gram. Um, the rest of the book's cute, right?" "Hmmph.")

Liz Climo is one of the best web cartoonists. So there's no doubt that book will be cute.
This book contains all animals toons. Some of the cartoons induce a grin, some create empathy, some will make you wonder. But all will connect with you. The dinosaur ones are the cutest!
This was a wonderful quick read.

It's odd, because I love the Liz Climo comics when I see them online, but this collection just doesn't seem to be the best of the best. Something I love about her comics is how good-natured and wholesome they are, while still being funny, but several in this book are a bit mean-spirited. I often laughed aloud reading her blog, but this book did not seem to funny. It's strange. Hopefully there is another collection out there of funnier comics.
This is super cute. I have little else to say about it, because it's not much more than adorable. But really, I wasn't asking any more of it. It made me smile.
A charming book full of great illustrations and humorous situations. Don't let the adorable animals fool you; this isn't a children's book! But you'll fall in love with the little world if you pick this up.

Totally adorable and subtly funny comics featuring sloths, anteaters, bears, rabbits, dinosaurs and many other animals in cute cartoon form. I left this book on the coffee table and everyone in the house read it and giggled.

Just wanted to note that while many of the cartoons in this book are child-friendly, some of them are not--just a few swear words in there. Also, since the target audience is adults, children may not be able to relate to some of the cartoons about parenting or dating.
This is a collection of very cute and often quite funny comics about animals in assorted situations. I think my favorites are their attempts at Halloween costumes, and their frequent use of the word "dude."
