I wanted to like this so much. If I Stay is still a starling favorite, and the first book in this series was brilliant. The second was a little less so. But this one. I was so amazingly disappointed when I read this mini-story.

I do love that it is a post end of Book 1 & Book 2 story. I love that we get to see everything come full circle, into fruition of the promise of the end of this story (the open door of a glorious future, out of the hints of two books worth of getting us through this modern and gorgeous travel-wide, love-wider version of another 'Tale of Two Cities' stories).

What killed it for me was the POV. I never minded the characters having their own Point of Views per book, but there are sections in this novella that it switches every other sentences. Where it can't decided if it belongs to one, to the other, to both, or to omniscient chorus-like narrator.....which killed me every time it would splice itself in a new one of those. ( )
