I don't care if I'm way beyond the age bracket of the target reader of this book series. What's important is that these mutts are making me laugh with their silly plans and adventures.
One particular part in this third book has made me teary-eyed. When Karen reminisced the days when her former owner used to read bedtime stories to her is a subtle message that dogs, either stray or not, has feelings too.
This book series could be a little bit silly but the message that the author wants to instill to us is on how sad is the life of stray dogs. We should be aware of this and trying to feed them or trying to rescue them will make a big change to their lives.
