I know everyone was ganging up on Kou this volume, but I LOVED IT. It’s what he deserves, and I say that with no malice. Every girl isn’t going to wait around for you to come to terms with your feelings. Narumi and he are two peas in a pod because neither will get out the doggone way.

Murao is a breath of fresh air. She told Kou to his face to basically get out the way. He had his chance. Stop treating Futaba’s heart like a yo-yo.

Makita and her dude are kind of just there, but they aren’t annoying, so it’s fine.

And Toma is almost too good. Why do y’all build the 2nd lead up so well just to stall the inevitable?

Tell the truth, shame the devil:
“You have no right […] All you did was waver. I’m not like you. I’ve always been committed to Yoshioka.”

That boy Koga said it best: Once you’ve had a real man, you’ll never go back to scraps again. lol ( )

Chapters 39 - 42: This volume concludes the class trip to Nagasaki story arc and also has some good scenes for Kominato & Murao as well. I look forward to reading the next volume and seeing what happens next for all the characters. ( )
