This book takes a look at not only the cats that live at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia, but also at the cats in some of the artwork and at the history of cats and how they were regarded throughout history in various places.
I bought this at the Hermitage over a year ago, and only finally sat down to read it now. I would have loved to have seen some of the cats who live there when I was there. This is a beautiful book that showcases photos of the cats who live there, as well as some of the paintings and artwork that can be found there. There are stories of the cats who are there now, as well as a history and tales of cats through time and place.
