When Vicky accidentally slides into the side of a polar bear, she doesn't expect to fall in love. It turns out that the polar bear is a man. A sexy man. A man who growls, roars, and does everything he can to chase her away. Only to come back. Gene only has one thing on his mind-revenge-until Vicky crashes into his life. After the pain and betrayal he suffered in the war, all he wants is vengeance against the brothers who left him behind. But he's confused when instead of wanting to punish him for his evil acts, they offer him forgiveness. As if that weren't annoying enough, the cutest geek he ever met won't leave him alone. Or more accurately, he can't seem to stop following her. And it isn't just because someone is out to hurt her. He wants her. But does he want her more than vengeance?… (more)

Normally when you read a series the books start out good and then slowly begin to lose steam. This is not the fact with this series. This book was my favorite amongst the Kodiak Point books. I loved the characters. And as I said in my review of the previous book they remind me very strongly of Shelly Laurenston, now I just have to go and dig out some of her books to get a Lautenston fix! First Thought when Finished: Vicky is my kind of leading lady and totally stole the show in Polar Bared by Eve Langlais!

Quick Thoughts: I will admit in shifter books it is usually the shifters that grab my attention. However, in Polar Bared it was Vicky. She was just a crazy mix of sweet, sassy, clutzy, and brassy. I liked it! The girl really held her own but in a way that didn't have you going "no way would she do that". She got herself into a lot of messes and her love story with Gene was sweet. Didn't think that sweet and Gene would go together but it did! Totally had fun with this one!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated By Chandra Skyye / Length: 7 hrs and 22 mins

Chandra's narration of this series isn't my favorite but it also is not hard to listen too. She does a great job with the ladies but I wish her male voices were just a bit stronger!
