My quintessential childhood book. An amusing poem that resonates with the Santa myth. Since this edition has such deep emotional attachment to my Christmas memories, my rating reflects absolutely no consideration of writing quality.
A lovely, festive, and timeless Christmas poem which really fills me with the Christmas spirit.
My dad used to read it to me every Christmas Eve when I was a wee thing. It is one of my fondest holiday memories.
Lovely Victorian (or possibly Edwardian) illustrations. From the year I was born!!
One of my favorite picture book versions of this poem. It's a crime that this is out of print.
Another childhood book in remarkably good condition --- probably because it was read only in December.
No changes in the poem that I could see off-hand. A with his other books, Cutting's illustrations are very bright and kid-friendly.
