Great finale to a great series. Marie Lu brought a nice voice and tone to the end of this series and her amazing writing style was gorgeous as always. It was a nice way to get her writing without her plot, as I've found it very predictable in the past.
This is the seventh (and last) book of the regular Scholastic Spirit Animals Series. Be careful when ordering because there are now other spin-offs of this original series. Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan have been exploring what it means to have a spirit animal. They have been charged with responsibilities they could not have previously envisioned. Because of their adventures, the world of Erdas has been changed forever. They have one final adventure in this series. They are in a race to stop Kovo the ape from finding the final talisman and destroying their world. Action, adventure, fantasy will entertain readers in this final installment.

If you have read or purchased the previous books in this series, this one has to be bought to show more finish of the collection. Middle grade readers have really loved this series. There is a companion website and spin-offs of this series. Middle grade readers will like the continuity of coming back to the same world and the same characters. There have been some big name authors who have contributed to this project. This might be the perfect book for some reluctant readers who cannot find anything they like. It will also serve to be a good introduction to some authors that readers may enjoy and then read their other books. The cover is bright and bold. There is not really any objectionable material in this book. It is suitable for a elementary or middle school library. show less
