Pre-k to 2nd grade would enjoy this book. The illustrations are soft and simple. This was a wonderful story of a young child's imagination after building an interesting snowman. An activity would be to have the class create wonderful places to go and activities with an imaginary friend.

The Snowman is a child’s wordless winter reverie enchantingly rendered in muted colored pencil sequence of drawings reminiscent of cartoon panels. This fantastical journey captures a child’s stream of consciousness daydream of a magical snowman. The Snowman is an exemplary wordless book that engages children in concepts of sequencing and cause and effect in a flight of imagination which will captivate even very young readers. ( )
