I received Millennium Crash for free from the author as part of the LibraryThing Member Giveaways. I enjoyed reading this book - because I'm generally a fan of time travel stories - but it had a variety of faults as well.Pros - there were characters I liked, the story was interesting, it was reasonably well-written and I could smoothly read through it. I enjoyed what I was reading while I read it. Cons - many of the characters were fairly one-dimensional, and there's no backstory; you don't know where / when they are from, or what they are doing. It was somewhat challenging to keep track of the timeline - each chapter jumped in both which characters it was focusing on and time, so I kept having to go back to earlier chapters to remind myself what had changed, and then the book just stopped. I know it is the first in a multi-book series, but I feel that any book should stand on its own. Also, having read summaries of the other books, I'm not even sure they really pick up the timeline and continue it, at least not for all the characters, which is a bit annoying. So, while my cons list looks longer, I'd have to say I enjoyed reading this, and would consider getting the subsequent books in the series. I received this book from the author and loved every page. It is a plot driven, time travel adventure that makes a great reading experience. I can't wait to read James Litherland's other books as well. Millennium Crash tackles one of the age old time travelers questions; what happens if you get stuck in another time. I love the characters and their continual growth throughout the story. no reviews | add a review

Can she find her helpers? Can the criminal time traveler be brought to justice?
This book really kept my attention. It did finish a bit flat, however left itself open for further books in the series to be written. ( )
