Knights is a complation book full of Arthurian tales. It has all of the very popular ones ie. Arthur, Roland, Sir Lancelot, but what is very intresting about this book is the explantion about real knights in between the story. The author explains what a knight really would have been like instead of the romantic sterotype that is perpetuated by Arthurian tales. They focus on how someone becomes a knight, the tools, and other information. There are also bery good pencilled illstrations that go along with each story. The book, though older, is not likely to become obsolete because what is contained in it does not change very often. I feel that it is a good book to use in a history class to show the differences between the tales knights and show more the real knights. The theme in the stories is the same as every Arthurian tale, good vs. evil, and they characters are pretty much the same. I would recommend this book to an upper elementary/middle school library. show less
