I really enjoyed this one.
It's strictly romance.
All about 2 divorced families merging together etc.
Likable characters.

And of course, there were editing errors.
You would think an author of KA's standing and what she pays publishers would not have errors in her books. But nearly everyone of her books has errors of some sort.

I am not sure why there are so many mediocre reviews of this book because I actually really enjoyed it. I could relate to the age of the characters and the chance at seeing love blossom again. Even at 50, I want that. I liked watching Mickey and Amelia traverse life with kids, the aftermath of divorce, and trying to merge families. I liked the characters. My issue with the book came from the parents and also with the ex, Conrad. I didn't understand why the first was even included in the book and the second, I didn't think he got his recompense for his behavior. I also struggled with the idea that a woman, an heiress, no less would have lost her children and had the custody that she did considering that her money would have ensured a different outcome.

Still, I enjoyed the books and enjoyed yet another delicious man that only KA can deliver. ( )

This is a powerful and emotional story. Mickey and Amelia.
This book explores marriage, relationships with your children after a break-up, relationship with your ex and his new 'model'.
It deals with how Amelia rebuilds her life and reforges relationships with her children and learns today move on.
It is at times painful to see how damaged she is after the break-up. KA really pulls on your heart strings.
I got to honest I wasn't keen on Mickey esp at the start some of the things he says to Amelia, they are not from a man I'd like to call a Hero.
There are appearances from Josie and Jake from The Will and Coert who will feature in the next book.

On a re-read.
I have issues with this book.
That said I find it very clever the way KA gives the reader the impression that the heroine is the bad person at the start of this book, when in fact her ex has done a number on her and her self esteem is so low that she is now everyone's doormat.
The emotions she stirs through the writing is excellent.
My issue is Mickey.
In the last book he had the potential to be lovely but he is so horrid to her at times.
He is judgemental and often cruel in the way he treats her.
