I continue to love everything and anything that Terry Moore writes, including his horror drive delight of Rachel Rising. As we wind further and further through the horrors of the both the present and past I have to wonder how far this series will go, and what it will take to reach an ending and --given how well I know Mr. Moore's writing after Strangers in Paradise and Echo -- whether any of us really even have a clue how that ending it going to come about and/or what it will even look like.

Can't wait to keep catching up, and read most of the next volume during next week! ( )

The problem with these books is, the story is so ridiculously captivating that I want to blow through the entire volume, but have to stop myself, frame by frame, because of the absolutely gorgeous art.

No one draws beautiful, yet realistic women like Moore. Nobody. ( )

Here we learn that last volume's triumphant showdown with Lilith didn't solve much of anything, and there seems to be a serial killer at work as well. We also learn that Rachel learned some incredibly powerful magic from Lilith, back in the day. Plus, Zoe's darkness grows more delightful. The ending, though, is pretty ambiguous. Where is it going to go from here? Only one thing is really clear. There is a lot more to come. ( )
