This book is a counting story that would be great for early primary listeners. This story is about a bear and mouse who count all of the things around them such as a dragonfly, bumblebees, and fish. This story would be helpful because it has words that rhyme throughout the story so it's very rhythmic and engaging since the characters are different animals. This story would be helpful if you were teaching students how to count one through five. ( )

Summary: A cute, counting book that features a bear and many other animals. The bear counts different things in nature such as berries, fish, frogs and much more! The counting goes up to five.

Critique of Genre: Informational because it's teaching children how to count numbers 1-5.
