Gardens are living things and they all get old and tired even when tended regularly with care and skill. When you buy a house you inherit a problem, but even for the keen gardener on his beloved plot there are bound to be some parts that need help. But few of us have the time or the money to begin all over again. And the third section gives the basics of garden design- how to draw the plans, how to create new features. This is a book for real gardeners in the real world. It's not about fancy make- overs- how to turn your garden into their idea of good design. It's how to bring your own garden back to life.
