I don't know why I thought this was a YA novel. Note: IT IS NOT YA. Just in case you were confused, too.

I don't know how I feel about this book. It was fine, I guess. We never find out why Zebulon keeps "living." Perhaps that come in Volume 2. In this volume, Zebulon experiences a lot of the "high" points of the late-19th and early-20th centuries. Despite all of these experiences, he still very often does things that make it appear that he hasn't grown psychologically past the 17-year-old he was when he died. I'm assuming that was a deliberate choice by the author, but I don't understand it. You'd think he'd have matured at some point in all of his years.

You watch a man try to find a home after death, and he never finds it and only sees his life go further and further down the drain unable to die. Fun read not for the faint of heart, gore galore. One of the only YA i've liked.

side note love the cover.
