The techniques here are a striking based, humane yet effective & simple to learn. Great for any girl or woman wanting to try learn simple self-defense or somone in traditional arts trying to setup a womens self-defense routine w/ actually work (unlike those knee to the groin seminars where everything is over simplified). The explanations are great & the photos clear & easy to follow. It's cool how all the models are wearing the funky brady bunch clothes of the time but the techniques are still very modern & the book is really cheap. My only complaint is that there are no defenses against hair grabs. Having 15 years experience I know these are some of the toughest attacks to deal with (wherever the head goes your body will follow)but c'mon it's a women's book - hair is their biggest disadvantage in a fight!
