This book by an American Buddhist, Tsultrim Allione, represents the first time that the rnam thar (sacred biographies) of any of Tibetan Buddhism's female mystics of Tibetan Buddhism. Especially valuable for its Life of Machig Labdron, the first time the biography of the founder of Chod was ever translated into a western language. Deservedly regarded as a classic.
