Jeff Kurtti is the author of twenty books, a writer-director of award-winning documentaries, and a respected public speaker, host, and panel moderator. A Seattle, Washington native, Kurtti worked as a production coordinator on the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Arts Festival, followed by two years as the assistant to the president of the California Institute of the Arts. For several years, he worked for Walt Disney Imagineering, the theme park design division of The Walt Disney Company, and then show more for the Corporate Special Projects department of Disney. Since 1995 he has enjoyed a career as an author, writer, and consultant in the motion picture, theatre, and themed-entertainment industries. Bruce Gordon is a twenty-five year veteran of Walt Disney Imagineering, where he was a vital force in the creation of dozens of the most popular and beloved Disney attractions around the world, and is widely regarded as one of the foremost experts on the history and legacy of Disney parks and attractions. This is mostly a propaganda book for Disney, which is no surprise. It is worthwhile however, as a historical document, as it gives a good idea of what Disney World was like in the late 1990s.
A wonderful trip down memory lane as you go through the past 25 years of Disney magic. From the first day in 1971 to future parks, like Animal Kingdom (now a reality). It is full of history. It includes great pictures, even from behind the scenes. I love Disney World and this book makes me feel like I am right in the middle of it.
