Pips "grandfather" has a stroke on her birthday, and he is taken to hospital. With not one to look after her, Pip is afraid of welfare and the "nutters" that are foster care parents. So with a little luck and her street smarts she packs her bags and goes into hiding while she waits for her grandfather to get better.
