this book is very heartfelt. a chapter book where a young boy discovers he has a learning disability; dyslexia. I feel that this disability is not really discussed and often ignored, but I love that this book brings it to life and how children struggle with this discovery and how they can be labeled as the class clown or dumb for it.
Explores the discovery of an 11 yo as he learns he has dyslexia and is guided to cope with it, and with his so-called friends' reactions. Effective, feels authentic, but doesn't pluck at the heartstrings or have much excitement.
Quite a nice little story about a boy with dyslexia and the problems he encounters when trying to overcome his diagnosis.
